We are delighted to announce our new Padma Retreat Centre located near the town of Denmark in WA’s beautiful south west.
This retreat is the manifestation of our founder, Melaney Ryan, who has long been seeking the right place to create a retreat centre for the MRIAC community. The centre sits on ancient wetlands above the sacred Yarragadee aquifer which is understood to be the resting place of the Waugyl or Rainbow Serpent, the Dreaming creature responsible for the creation of waterways throughout Perth and the south west of WA.
Sitting on 30 acres of bushland filled with native flora and fauna, our new centre faces an inlet that forms a large lake which attracts birds from as far away as Siberia who fly four months to visit this land.
We are so excited to be closer to opening this space for our community, and are busy forming plans for our 2022 retreats, which will include beautiful wholesome food and cozy accommodation. The space will also be available for hire for other facilitators in our extended community wishing to host retreats.
We can’t wait to welcome you in 2022 as we create a place of rest, stillness and meditation for our Mahat and ITA community.
